ITU Aquathlon World Championship ResultsPosted by Ryan Lee, 9 October 2005, 2:39 PM |
On October 4 at 4:30pm athletes in Honolulu began the festivities with the World Aquathon Championships (2.5km - 750m - 2.5km).
TRIFIT's sole competitor Drew Westbrook had an outstanding race taking 2nd in his age group (30-34) and 6th overall.
Another great result was achieved by former TRIFIT member Jocelyn Pollock who notched up an amazing 2nd place overall (female category). Jocelyn has been training, racing and working in Hong Kong for the last year and it's great to see her still going strong.
The men's podium (and overall times) stood as follows:
1. Johnny Collet NZL - 32:08
2. Kalen Darling USA - 32:11
3. Daniel Howitt AUS - 32:33
+
6. Drew Westbrook AUS - 33:05
Women's podium:
1. Erika Aklufi USA - 33:58
2. Jocelyn Pollock AUS - 35:36
3. Joanna Swallow GBR - 36:45

Drew starts at 3:15am Australian time
